I'm from Québec , Canada, and I was in Peru in january 2011 whit my band and whit my deck and I discover a holy downhill!!
Pass the runes of Ollantaytambo (75km notrh-west of Cusco) and pass a 1 km off-road and you go The heaven road of the Sacred Valley! Build in 2006, the road is perfectly incline and the view is sublime. If you go between 10:00am and 16:00pm, there is no cars... well some's but you see them coming. Brand new asphalte: 52km of non-stop pure downhill in the valley. If you chek the google map... the actual road is the 28B... start around the ACP Abra Malgaga Thastayoc and end around Hotel Munay Tika. The beer is good there!! Believe me, it's the better one I drink in my trip to Peru.
I was in this town cause I was on my way to Machu whit some friends. I was on KB Hotel and I took the mountain bike ride package. I ask for a downhill road and then... a week later I came back I ride that holy molly shiitt!!! Took the 50 Sol cab up, 1hour of car... and two hour of pure non-stop skateboarding!! 2000m of unevenness, approximatly 15 cars between the top and the bottom. I was whit to guys in mountain bike. The y follow me for a while and they take a parralelle trail for bike.
I ride a Bigboard - Gravity Pool Serie 36 inch whit Paris Trucks. I got the Retro ZigZag 70 wheels ans Spitfire bearing. I got some DC winter boots on for that ride and fortunatly I wear a helmet this time... and I broke it... like my brand new Oklay glass in a ''I don't remember'' bail!!
I hit my head in the ground...
It's probably too late for you guys to pass try this holy molly road... but I just want to cue you that one!
PeAcE!!
Have a good ride and Enjoy

I have been following the long treks since day one and have since been inspired. I love the way these guys are able to take the good and the bad and make light of the situation through humor and comradship. There have been alot of wild thoughts running through my head since I first saw these videos. I reside in a small residential area of Long Island, New york and have been lucky enough to find myself getting a sponsorship from a local shop by the name of Hudson Boardroom [facebook it!!]. Anyway, making a long story short, I have started planning out a trip I hope to embark on this upcoming summer. I will be traveling across the United States via longboard to promote alternative means of transport [other then a car] and I have found longboarding to be my favorite means. I hope to set up a fund raiser for donations and "money for miles". for every certain amount of miles I skate, people who make pledges will donate money. portions of these proceeds will be donated to various organizations involved with keeping longboarders safe [ex. Ian tillman foundation] and keeping the stoke alive in the longboarding community. I really appreciate all you guys are doing and I understand the desire, drive, passion and dedication involved in taking on such a huge challenge. I only hope my journey will be as joyfull and exciting as yours! Keep up the good work! Stay safe! I wish you guys the best of luck.
heyas your adventure was really inspiring.....loads of friendships made, memories (good and bad) awesome scenery, best way to see the world. Thanks for sharing, maybe when i get the balls or should I say balletes to get out of my comfort zone on my longboard i'll cruise around New Zealand on a longtrek.
Cheers ears.........Keep rid'n

Labas,
bejer,
hamdullilah...
as they would say in marocco.
i´m a friend from germany, doing tours as well.
If you ever come to Berlin or like to see it, contact me and we´ll do a trip around the former wall in west berlin.
It´s concrete,it´s sand,it´s tarmac it´s about 160 km long and will be a great journey along the often spreaded lakes and forests around the city.
beslama,
Stefan

*Waist deep bow* I am happy that you have all returned home safely as you have. Many blessings to you and yours. May you find that ride that will stay in your heart forever.
You guys are so ...crazy! I love to backpack, and I get like that too... but not to this extent! Your caravan is so delarious, it's fun to watch you laugh about bad things like a massive sunburns, blisters, or road rash- then keep on pushing up a mountain. This whole series makes me smile and laugh all day- thanks for letting us be there in footage! :-)

Awesome! Peruvian Death Hill especially made for really crazy longboarders ;-) drop me a note whenever you are in Germany and looking for some slide...

Woo fellas, you've done it! Impressive to say the least. I just did a 120km tour today, and when I imagine doing that every day on far from smooth roads, I am baffled by your persistence.
I'm going to skate from the south of France back up to the north this summer, I hope the roads there aren't Peruvian, but I sure do hope the hills are :) Good luck getting home, and enjoy your remaining time in S. America!

Hola hermano y amigos
Wow boys, you are tuff stuff. Here's my cheer you on and just GIV'ER. I'm glad you are stretching lots! I miss you and I hope you're finding aloe vera for those sun burns. It grows abundantly in Mexico. Enjoy the coca - it will help nourish you. Leche Dulche is one alkaline substance people chew with it. It's necessary to help bring out the good stuff in the leaves...
I miss you and take awesome good care of yourselves. LOVE Stephana
Hey, do you guys switch legs every so often when you're pushing? Or do you come home like fiddler crabs? tee hee Love the pics, love the blog. Don't know that i'd be tough enough to live on cookies and coca leaves and sleeping by the side of the road, but it looks amazing from the comfort of my veggie laden kitchen. kyra's got you booked, Aaron, i think she's kidnapping you at the airport so you can visit and tell stories and board in the cul de sac ...

adam, specifically, you have been coresponding with my friend and boss donnie for some time now via email on details for a new zealand trek... well, were doing a dry run across what was supposed to be 300miles of moutains and wilderness and 300 miles flatland in michigan... but work being a bitch and only having 10 days... we got stuck with the less than awesome half of the trip..... fuck. just wanted to say what an inspiration your videos were! i even ordered a machete... what the hell am i going to chop now? :(
with Stoke,
Tom Loin

You guys have shown that it is possible to combine camping, skating, and anything distance related, an amazing and inspiring alternative to other, less primal modes of travel.
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!! LOVE YOUR WORK!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU DOWNUNDER SOME DAY!!!
Hey if you come to Argentina you have to come to Merlo, San Luis because there are lots of longboarders that are very invested in the sport and I am sure there would be a good information exchange opportunity.... just crossed my mind after I saw your episodes.... :) :) :) If you do come let us know.....

I respect you guys and love what your doing. Please, don't ever stop.
You can spend your life pushin uphill, or you can turn around and coast the days away.

I'm from Argentina and we are planning to go next summer and do a longboard trip through patagonia and ushuaia! Longboarding on the southest point of the world!
Excelent material guys, congratulations to all, it seems you had lots of fun!
Keep it goin!
Im a Spanish guy actually preparing to move to the States (by the way, nice spanish tries in those episodes haha, i so liked it x) ) Im currently preparing a longboard trip with some friends just in order to know a bit more about the country ill move to. Thats why I started searching some longboard trips and i found this series. Congrats for the videos, for the experiences, sights ,places and stuff. Also congrats for the website.
Hugs from Spain-USA.
Dave.
Josh Wright

Cheers ears.........Keep rid'n
Do you think you guys can post a picture of the map you used on the trip?

i´m a friend from germany, doing tours as well.
If you ever come to Berlin or like to see it, contact me and we´ll do a trip around the former wall in west berlin.
It´s concrete,it´s sand,it´s tarmac it´s about 160 km long and will be a great journey along the often spreaded lakes and forests around the city.
beslama,
Stefan

You guys are so ...crazy! I love to backpack, and I get like that too... but not to this extent! Your caravan is so delarious, it's fun to watch you laugh about bad things like a massive sunburns, blisters, or road rash- then keep on pushing up a mountain. This whole series makes me smile and laugh all day- thanks for letting us be there in footage! :-)
Awesome! Peruvian Death Hill especially made for really crazy longboarders ;-) drop me a note whenever you are in Germany and looking for some slide...
He guys,
It's awsome to see the trip from S-A. I've been there as well only I did it by bus. That was already a hell so I got a lot of respect for you!!!!
Really nice to see the commitment to make it. You were in a magazine from Holland so that's the reason I ended up at this site. If you ever need a place to stay in holland... just email! See yah on the road!
Met you in Fes, Marocco, after overtaking you going a looong way downhill on skateboards through the cypress-forests south of Fes - amazing.
Looking forward to watching your video about Marocco.
Uwe

So... Are there going to be any more blog-entries, or did I overlook a link to them somewhere? It stops at day 36 for me.
You guys have done absolutely awesome!! WONdeful pictures ... and the experience is certainly one of a lifetime ... plus it is an inspiration to me (among hundreds others of your fans)!! Come back safely. Talk with you then. AK
America!
more then a week, yeo
Thanks for the words guys. After a really hard week of skating it was inspirational for us to read what you all had to say!
It made us feel better.
Man, You guys rock. This is so inspiring...can't wait to see the video. Thanks for the blogs! It felt like I was experiencing the trip with you!

Aren't all deer fuzzy?
Love those down hills when wind resistance maintains you at stable speeds. becareful there are no straw bails at tight turnes. May be you have drag-chutes that can assist you and do a little gliding to add to the thrill. God speed you safe return! elcnu sined

GIT R DON

Hey Paul you crazy dude! It's good to see this project here, it's a big freaking breath of fresh air that I wish I could inhale. Espero que vas a aprender un poquito de espanol sobre la calle que vas a estar una escuela bonnissima para vos vidas. Amusez-vous Cabrones!!!
Guys, you are all looking so THIN! Please, for the love of gosh-golly, eat like you've never eaten before in Cusco!
Hey Paul, Aaron & Adam, don't your legs get tired? Just being really annoying, it looks *seriously* challenging! Great work. Amazing pictures and roads, just incredible. I think you need a few more pics of all three of you though. Just got in from 14th st, Jeff, Ken, George, Aaron, whole lotta standups going on. Hey enjoy, and clean your road rash eh, I read an extremely nasty article about sepsis (blood poisoning). Good luck, Barry.
i'm thinking of you guys.... have fun
